STANDARDThis is a great kit which is appropriate for most Ford V8 engines made between 1957-1974. The most significant component included is the Pertronix Ignitor II point eliminator. You can take performance one-step higher with the Ignitor II. The dwell is constantly monitored by a new microcontroller and adjustments are made to maintain peak efficiency throughout the entire RPM range. Best of all you never have to replace points again while maintaing a stock look. Next is a low-resistance (0.6 ohm) Pertronix Flame Thrower II coil. The Ignitor II needs a coil with this resistance, and the Flame Thrower II produces up to 45,000 volts for a powerful, clean spark. Since it is black, the sticker can be removed for stock looking engine compartments. The tailored black Pertronix Flame Thrower spark plug wire set will transmit that spark through two current paths to your spark plugs (We chose not to include spark plugs in this kit because the proper spark plug to use varies widely depending on application and engine capability). No tune-up is complete without a quality distributor cap with brass contacts for sure spark and long life. Finally, a matching quality rotor is included.
