Heavy-duty 1970-73 Mustang V8 style big bearing disc brake spindle and bracket set for various 1960-77 Ford and Mercury models including Mustang, Cougar, Falcon and Comet. These high quality Mustang spindles are manufactured with modern steel alloys for improved durability and strength over the original spindles. These new spindles share Ford's original geometry, designed to be coupled with 1970-73 OE-style disc brakes or aftermarket brakes. Sold as a pair, with hardware for mounting the caliper brackets to the spindle.
These spindles are a direct replacement for 1970-73 Mustang and Cougars with V8 engines and disc brakes. This set can also be used to convert most compact and intermediate sized 60's and 70's Ford/Mercury vehicles due to common upper and lower ball joint tapers and spindle height. This includes earlier 1964-70 drum brake Mustangs and Cougars. The larger spindle pin and outer tie rod taper, redesigned axle flange, and caliper mounts may require brake system upgrades for earlier vehicles.
