OER butyl rubber sealant for installing front windshield or back glass installation. Can be used on virtually all models of Chrysler, GM, and Ford that did not use a contoured molded style weatherstrip for installation of the front windshield or rear glass. This installation sealer offers the unique feature of controlled compressibility, which makes for simpler window glass installation. One 15-foot roll is sufficient to install one windshield or rear window. Each roll of sealer includes two glass setting blocks that can be used to ensure a clean, tight fit during glass installation.
While this part is commonly used for glass installation, this butyl compound also makes an excellent seam sealer on car doors between door and watershields, on body seams, and between inner and outer panels on hoods, pickup bed rails, etc. Can be used between lens and housing on headlamp assemblies. Also makes a superb sound deadener between panels.
