Precision Windshield Stick WIT 101 is a high-strength windshield urethane adhesive in an easy-to-use stick format designed for bonding and sealing automotive glass. Engineered for reliable adhesion, weather resistance, and vibration damping, it restores structural integrity after windshield replacement and helps prevent leaks and wind noise. The formula cures quickly to provide a durable, crash-safe bond and is suitable for use on most cars, trucks, and SUVs when performing glass replacement or restoration.
Features:
- High-strength urethane formulation for secure windshield bonding and leak prevention.
- Weather- and UV-resistant for long-lasting durability and stability in varied climates.
- Fast handling properties reduce vehicle downtime while providing a strong structural bond.
- Stick format simplifies dispensing and reduces waste compared with bulk cartridges.
- Compatible with OEM primers and standard windshield installation procedures for restorations.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes application; full cure 24 hours (adhesion strength increases over cure time)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and set parking brake. Protect interior with drop cloths.
- Remove the old windshield and thoroughly clean the pinch weld and glass contact surfaces. Remove old adhesive, dirt, and contaminants with a razor blade and cleaner.
- Apply approved primer to bare metal and to the glass contact area if required by the vehicle manufacturer. Allow primer to flash per product instructions.
- Load the Windshield Stick WIT 101 into a compatible applicator or dispensing tool following the tool manufacturer’s directions.
- Dispense a continuous, even bead of adhesive onto the pinch weld following the vehicle OEM bead pattern and recommended bead size.
- Carefully position the windshield into place, aligning edges and glass fixtures. Press firmly to seat the glass into the adhesive bead.
- Secure the windshield with tape or clips to maintain position while the adhesive develops handling strength.
- Allow the adhesive to reach handling strength per the cure time guidance before driving (minimum handling time varies by temperature; full cure typically 24 hours). Remove tape and clean any excess adhesive from glass edges after partial cure.
