- Chrome-plated metal construction resists corrosion and maintains shine.
- Direct replacement for factory-style handles; designed to align with OEM mounting points.
- Restores door opening function and original exterior appearance on restoration projects.
- Simple bolt-on installation with common hand tools; ideal for DIY repairs and maintenance.
- Durable finish and construction for long-lasting reliability in daily use.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 15-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Lower the window (if applicable) and remove the interior door panel by prying off trim, removing screws, and unclipping retainers to expose the handle linkage and mounting nuts.
- Locate and disconnect the door handle linkage from the interior rod clip — use needle-nose pliers to carefully unclip without bending the rod.
- Remove the retaining nuts or bolts that secure the exterior handle to the door using the appropriate socket and extension; support the handle while removing fasteners to prevent dropping.
- Slide the old handle out from the exterior side of the door and remove any remaining gaskets or seals.
- Compare the new handle to the old one and transfer any gaskets or hardware if required; apply a light lubricant to moving linkages if desired.
- Insert the new handle into the door from the exterior, align it to the mounting holes, and secure with the original or supplied nuts/bolts — tighten snugly but avoid over-torquing.
- Reconnect the linkage rod to the handle clip, ensuring the clip is fully seated and the rod moves freely.
- Test door operation (open/close/lock) several times to verify proper function and alignment.
- Reinstall the interior door panel and trim, ensuring all clips and screws are returned to their original positions.
