Direct-fit rear sway bar link for 1995-2006 Ford, Jaguar and Mercury vehicles designed to restore correct anti-roll bar connection and handling. This replacement link secures the rear stabilizer bar to the suspension, reducing body roll, improving cornering stability and eliminating clunks from worn or failed links. Constructed for durability and reliable performance, it’s ideal for routine maintenance or restoration projects where original hardware has worn out or been damaged. The part is designed for easy installation with common hand tools and restores factory suspension geometry for safer, more predictable handling.
Features:
- Fits 1995-2006 Ford, Jaguar and Mercury rear sway bar applications (right or left hand).
- Durable metal construction with corrosion-resistant finish for long service life.
- Reinforced ball joint/bushing reduces play to restore steering and handling precision.
- Pre-assembled design simplifies replacement — no press or special bench tools required.
- Helps reduce vibration, noise and body roll caused by worn sway bar links.
- Suitable for restoration or maintenance to return vehicle suspension to OEM performance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per side
Instructions:
- Safely lift and support the rear of the vehicle on jack stands and remove the rear wheels.
- Locate the rear sway bar link connecting the stabilizer bar to the suspension control arm or strut.
- Apply penetrating lubricant to the mounting nuts and bolts and allow time to soak if corroded.
- Remove the lower and upper mounting nuts/bolts while supporting the sway bar to prevent sudden movement.
- Remove the old sway bar link from the vehicle.
- Position the replacement sway bar link and insert mounting bolts through the sway bar and control arm or strut.
- Hand-start the nuts, then tighten to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified torque using a torque wrench.
- Lower the vehicle, reinstall the wheels, and torque the wheel lug nuts to spec.
- Test drive at low speed to confirm proper operation and listen for any abnormal noises; re-torque fasteners after a short test drive if recommended.
