Instructions:
- Lower the window glass until the lockstrip area is accessible (or remove the door panel and lower glass as needed).
- Protect the door and glass edges with masking tape to prevent scratches.
- Remove any old lockstrip or damaged weatherseal: cut and pull out the old lockstrip, and remove adhesive residue with a clean cloth and mild solvent.
- Clean the glass and channel thoroughly and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new lockstrip along the glass edge to confirm orientation and length; trim excess if necessary with a utility knife.
- Starting at one end, align the lockstrip with the glass channel and press it into place, working along the length so the profile seats evenly.
- Use a rubber mallet or block of wood and light taps if necessary to fully seat the lockstrip without deforming it.
- Reinstall the glass into the door channel (if removed) and reattach the door panel. Cycle the window several times and check for proper sealing and smooth operation.
