Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level surface and remove interior trim panels as needed to access the rear window edge.
- Carefully remove the chrome outer trim and old weatherstrip; use a trim tool or screwdriver to pry clips free, taking care not to bend the trim.
- Clean the channel and surrounding flange thoroughly—remove old adhesive, dirt, and rust; dry the area.
- Inspect and replace any damaged body clips so the chrome trim will seat properly.
- Trial-fit the new weatherstrip along the window flange to confirm orientation and length; trim excess if necessary.
- Apply a thin layer of soapy water or silicone lubricant to the channel to ease installation.
- Starting at one corner, press the weatherstrip into the body channel, aligning openings with the body clips; work around the opening, seating the seal firmly by hand.
- Reinstall the chrome trim by pressing it into the weatherstrip so the trim tangs engage the body clips; use a rubber mallet to gently seat the trim if required.
- Check the perimeter to ensure the seal and trim are fully seated and evenly compressed; trim or adjust any excess material.
- Test for leaks by gently spraying water around the sealed area and recheck after road test; re-seat trim or replace clips if any gaps are found.
