These minor blemishes are a natural part of the casting process when using the original sand casting tooling. Weiand Nostalgia series intakes are proudly cast and machined in the USA. If the carburetors are mounted sideways, the throttle lever hits that carb flange & will require modifications or spacers to correct this interference. Carburetors with a Choke may have clearance issues between the carb mounting surface and the fast idle cam adjustment screw & lever. A 3/4" spacer may be required to provide enough clearance when using a choke.
