Instructions:
- Park on level ground, set parking brake, and place wheel chocks behind rear wheels.
- Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and support securely on jack stands.
- Remove the front wheel(s) to access the control arm assembly.
- Apply penetrating oil to the control arm shaft nut and mounting points; allow time to soak.
- Support the control arm with a jack or stand to relieve load from the shaft.
- Remove the retaining nut and washers from the control arm shaft.
- Slide out the old control arm shaft; use a hammer and punch if necessary to drive out a seized shaft.
- Clean mounting bores and inspect control arm and bushing surfaces for damage; replace any worn components as needed.
- Install the new shaft with included bushings and hardware, ensuring correct orientation for right/left side.
- Tighten retaining hardware to the manufacturer’s specified torque values.
- Repeat for the opposite side if replacing both shafts.
- Reinstall wheels, lower vehicle, and perform a final torque check on all fasteners.
- Have suspension alignment checked and adjusted if necessary after installation.
