Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage the parking brake and place wheel chocks behind the rear wheels.
- Loosen the front wheel lug nuts slightly, then raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and support securely on jack stands. Remove the front wheel for access.
- Locate the sway bar end link attaching points at the sway bar and the lower control arm or strut (depending on vehicle subframe).
- Apply penetrating oil to the mounting nuts and bolts if they appear corroded. Allow time to soak.
- Hold the stud or use a wrench to prevent the link from turning, then remove the nut(s) securing the old link to the sway bar and control arm/strut. Remove the old link.
- Compare the new link to the old part to ensure correct orientation and length. Transfer any necessary hardware if required by fitment instructions.
- Install the new sway bar link into position. Start the nuts by hand to ensure proper thread engagement.
- Tighten the mounting nuts to the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended torque specification using a torque wrench.
- If applicable, use a grease gun to apply grease to the grease fitting until the joint is properly lubricated.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to the manufacturer’s specification.
- Test drive at low speed to verify handling and listen for any unusual noises. Recheck torque after first few miles of driving.
